Great place, The IPA was very good, as was their stout. The help was very helpful. I wanted to purchase the Stout T-shirt and they didn't have it at this location, Tim the manager called all over town to their other Pubs and had them hold one for me. As Chain Brew Pubs go this is my favorite.

Like a lot of beer drinkers posting on this site, I am always wary of large chain brewpubs. But the two beers I had were very good. IPA-solid beer, hoppy with good body.
California Commons-A steam beer with good body and super hopped. Not sure about where the name came from-the waiter had no clue.

The beer was very good. I enjoyed the Red. The food was also very good....Once it got there. The service was so slow that it ruined the evening. Food that took too long get to the table was delivered without silverware. The host came by to explain why things were slow only after we asked what the problem was. Instead of helping out, the host just rammbled on.

I stopped in a few months ago while I was in Scottsdale. I was very happy with the place. The bartenders were very knowledgable and friendly. The three beers I had were all very good.

I generally hate chains, but I was dragged to this one by a friend and was very surprised. Everything about it is top quality. I did find the stout to be way too thin, but the other beers were great. Even the red was remarkable, and I'm not a red drinker. The food is just phenomenal. The Ahi tuna appetizer is a must-have. Their fish & chips are made with salmon, a very nice twist.
Prices are upscale but really not that high. The salmon fish & chips is $10.50, generous salmon Caesar is $9, steak dinners around $14 (the pub tenderloin plate is awesome--love their white cheddar mashers).
One of the best things about it is consistency. Every time I go there I know I'm going to get the same great food and beer.

Perhaps my expectations are too high, since this was a superb brewpub back when it was Hops! The food is good here -- not awesome but solidly good -- and the beer is fine. But the service is so erratic that we're sometimes reticent to go during busy hours.

Only sampled a couple of the beers, but those were very good. Menu is good and on the upscale side. The fish & chips is unique--they use salmon. Unfortunately the "chips" are just cheap shoestring fries, but still decent.
